Miya Otake
A graduate of the Royal Academy of Music in London, England, Miya Otake is an active harpist contributing her talent in performing and teaching. At age of seven she began to play the harp in Japan.  After immigrating to Canada she continued her musical studies at the Vancouver Academy of Music and the Victoria Conservatory of Music with scholarships. She has won many awards and appeared in numerous recitals and TV programs studying under Take Kling who is a former professor at the University of Victoria.

 

Miya has performed around the world covering Europe, Asia, and North  & South America. One of the most memorable performance was a duet with her sister, Kaori Otake at the Carnegie Hall in New York.
